SYNOPSIS

Plongée glaçante au cœur de l’un des cartels les plus puissants du Mexique : Sinaloa. Des laboratoires clandestins où la méthamphétamine est élaborée dans les planques où l’organisation fait emprisonner et torturer ses ennemis. Dans le quotidien des tueurs à gage, auprès des indics et d’un policier corrompu, cette enquête raconte comment le Cartel a étendu son emprise sur la population et les autorités mexicaines par la terreur et la corruption. Dans l’État du Sinaloa, seules des mères de famille osent s’élever publiquement contre la violence du Cartel. Sans relâche, elles fouillent les fosses clandestines de l’organisation, à la recherche des corps de leurs enfants ou époux.

Get into the heart of one of Mexico's most powerful cartels. After several weeks of negotiations, we were able to get access to a faction of the Sinaloa cartel: the clandestine laboratories where methamphetamine is made, the daily life of the « sicarios », the hideouts where the organization use to lock and torture its enemies, the informants, the testimony of a corrupt policeman, this documentary explain how the Cartel has extended its influence on the population and the Mexican authorities by terror and corruption. In the state of Sinaloa, only mothers dare publicly to speak out against cartel’s violence. Continuously they search the clandestine pits of the organization, looking for the body of their children or husband.

Journaliste depuis 15 ans, Romain Bolzinger a débuté comme reporter au JT de TF1 puis a réalisé de nombreux documentaires d’investigation pour CANAL+, notamment « Les Derniers Maitres de la Martinique » (2009) , « Le Cauchemar de Mandela » (2010), « Trafic d’art, le trésor de guerre du Terrorisme » (2012).
